We are now looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and complete allocated draughting and modelling work in an efficient and timely manner ensuring designs are accurate. You will also act as a support resource for the Mechanical Design Team. This varied role will include:

• Delivery of engineering solutions in response to bespoke customer requirements for the range of products.
• Working directly with sales staff, Project Managers, Customers & Suppliers to establish specifications and produce drawings of design proposals for approval.
• Creating Bills of Materials and determining product specifications with supply chain.
• Generating and maintaining CAD models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor 2016 and Solidworks 2016.
• Prototype build and continuous improvement of new projects.
• Management of designated projects and provide regular project feedback on progress to the management team

We can offer a salary to 45,000 plus excellent benefits including private health and invite applications from mechanical design engineers with the following attributes:

• Experience of 3D CAD packages
• Preferably use of Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor and Vault being an advantage.
• Broad background in electro-mechanical product development
• Good general computer skills in MS Office applications Word and Excel
• Knowledge and understanding of sheet metal work is essential
