Job Title: Domestic Cleaner

Trust Location: Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust

Location: Ormskirk & District General Hospital (Theatres Domestic)

Shift Pattern: 2 shift patterns available:

  1. Monday - Friday 18:00 - 22:00
  2. Saturday & Sunday 17:00 - 20:00

Payrate: 11.45 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends, evenings, and bank holidays

About the Trust

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby, and West Lancashire.

Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care, and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital. The?Northwest Regional Spinal Injuries Centre?at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales, and the Isle of Man.

This is a Temporary Role.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • To assist in general cleaning of the hospital wards and other clinical areas.
  • To ensure infection control policies are adhered to which ensures we maintain the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Responsible for the safe use of cleaning equipment
  • Liaise with ward and departmental staff, colleagues, line managers and patients.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You'll have the following skills/experience:

  • Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
  • Good communicator who can follow instructions
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience in a domestic or similar role.
  • Reliable and hard working.
