We’re hiring on behalf of our client - a progressive and innovative education provider - for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive employer engagement and commercial growth across their service offering.

This is a high-impact role, reporting to the Director of Employer Engagement and Innovation, where your ability to build relationships, spot opportunities, and close deals will play a vital part in shaping the future workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with management & motor vehicle businesses.
  • Develop strategic partnerships to promote LSEC's apprenticeship programmes.
  • Design and implement industry-aligned apprenticeship programmes.
  • Conduct outreach to attract apprentices and inform businesses of the benefits.
  • Provide ongoing support to apprentices and businesses to ensure success.
  • Oversee the coordination and smooth operation of apprenticeship programmes.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and present reports on program outcomes and business engagement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in sales, employer engagement, or business development (ideally in education or training)
  • Knowledge of government-funded training programmes and commercial learning solutions
  • Proven experience in securing business and managing key accounts
  • Level 3 qualification or above, preferably in a sales-related subject
  • Level 2 in English and Maths
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and confident in reporting and data tracking
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage your workload, meet KPIs, and work proactively under pressure

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in conducting workplace health & safety assessments
  • Ability to lead and deliver structured sales campaigns
  • Skilled in negotiating training fees and developing service-level agreements
  • Insight into labour market trends and workforce development planning
