CNC Machine Operator / Improver
Orpington, Kent
13.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
40 hours per week | Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Premier Recruitment Group are proud to partner with a long-standing and well-established engineering company based in Orpington. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CNC Machine Operator / Improver to join a highly skilled engineering team.

This role is ideally suited to someone with experience operating CNC machines who is now looking to progress into machine setting and, ultimately, programming.



About the Company

This family-owned engineering business has built an excellent reputation within the industry. The company manufactures its own prestigious product range, supplying worldwide through its own distribution network, alongside providing sub-contract machining services across a variety of sectors.



Key Responsibilities

  • Following job cards, procedures and instructions from team leaders

  • Operating CNC milling and turning machines

  • Inspecting components as they come off the machines

  • Completing daily machine checks

  • Working accurately from engineering drawings and production methods



The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience within a production or manufacturing environment

  • A good understanding of engineering drawings

  • Knowledge of CNC milling and turning processes

  • Experience using inspection equipment such as micrometres and verniers

  • An understanding of an ISO9001 quality environment

  • Basic computer literacy

  • A driven and motivated attitude with pride in their work

  • The ability to work under pressure when required
