HGV Class 1 Vacuum Tanker Drivers required

Location: Ossett, Wakefield

Salary: 18 - 19.50 per hour

Shift Structure: Both Days and Nights required / Monday - Friday (5 days plus potential of overtime at the weekend). Days starting at 6am, Nights starting at 6pm.

Potential: Potentially medium-to-long-term, ongoing contract with the potential of full time employment after a period.

The Role:

My client is currently recruiting Class 1 Drivers to operate vacuum tankers in the Ossett area. This is an ongoing role, requiring drivers for both day and night shifts. The shifts are a provisional Monday - Friday working week, with optional weekends as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Emptying and legally disposing of septic tank waste
  • Managing emergency flood situations
  • Maintaining wet wells
  • Carrying out a range of general drainage-related duties

Typical shift length usually around 12-hours, but on occasion this may overrun slightly due to the nature of the works and/or emergency call-outs.

Additional tickets and qualifications that would be of interest but not essential:

  • HPWJ (High Pressure Water Jetting)
  • Medium/High Risk Confined Space Training
  • Confined Space Rescue
  • Manual Handling
  • Highways Passport

Requirements

  • Full UK Driving Licence with Category C or CE entitlement
  • Valid CPC qualification
  • Digital tachograph card
  • Familiarity with domestic driving regulations
  • Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours
