The Multi-skilled Mechanical Fitter role will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Provide mechanical fitout/installation of acoustic generator enclosures
- Read drawings, identify components, and assemble/fitout items including engines, radiators, LV switch gear, weather louvres, exhaust systems, silencers, motorised inlet dampers, internal fuel day tanks, and SCR systems
- Maintain good quality and efficiency
- Flexibility to carry out mechanical fitting and welding small components into position
- Competent use of plant and equipment, including range forklifts up to 25t, boom arms, MEWPs, and overhead cranes
- Ability to jack and skate high-value items into position
- Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to health and safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Engineering qualification (advantageous)
- Willingness to carry out site work with a commitment to overtime when required
