We’re working with a specialist SEN school that is seeking a passionate, adaptable, and experienced SEN Teacher to lead a class of pupils with a range of autism-related learning needs. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who understands the importance of structure, empathy, and firm but nurturing behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, structured lessons tailored to children with ASD and other additional needs
Use strategies such as visual supports, sensory activities, and routine-based planning
Maintain high standards of classroom management, supporting emotional regulation and learning
Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, therapists, and families to ensure individual pupil progress
Track pupil development through EHCP outcomes and differentiated learning plans

What We’re Looking For

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) – SEN specialism preferred but not essential
Proven experience working with pupils with autism and associated communication or behaviour needs
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Resilient, patient, and committed to inclusive education
A reflective practitioner who can adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learners
