Are you a qualified teacher with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Are you confident in creating inclusive, engaging lessons and managing a classroom where every child can thrive?

We’re working with a specialist SEN school that is seeking a passionate, adaptable, and experienced SEN Teacher to lead a class of pupils with a range of autism-related learning needs. This is a full-time position ideal for someone who understands the importance of structure, empathy, and firm but nurturing behaviour management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, structured lessons tailored to children with ASD and other additional needs
  • Use strategies such as visual supports, sensory activities, and routine-based planning
  • Maintain high standards of classroom management, supporting emotional regulation and learning
  • Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, therapists, and families to ensure individual pupil progress
  • Track pupil development through EHCP outcomes and differentiated learning plans

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent) – SEN specialism preferred but not essential
  • Proven experience working with pupils with autism and associated communication or behaviour needs
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Resilient, patient, and committed to inclusive education
  • A reflective practitioner who can adapt teaching approaches to suit individual learners
