Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent)
Start Date: January 2026
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Oswestry. This full-time, long-term position begins in January and includes full classroom responsibilities, including planning, teaching, marking, and assessment.
The school has a warm and nurturing atmosphere where staff collaborate closely to create a positive learning environment. This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to progress within a supportive team.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, creative and effective lessons to KS1 pupils in line with the National Curriculum
Take full responsibility for planning, preparation, assessment and marking
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning and pupil progress
Work closely with colleagues to support teaching consistency across the school
Build strong and positive relationships with pupils, parents and staff
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 1
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Passionate, caring and motivated approach to education
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
