Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Oswestry. As a General Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will be responsible for delivering a range of clinical duties, ensuring patients receive compassionate, safe, and effective care tailored to their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Provide direct care to patients, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans.

  • Clinical Skills: Administer medications, manage wound care, assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), and monitor vital signs.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care, including liaising with doctors, allied health professionals, and support staff.

  • Communication: Maintain clear, accurate, and timely communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

  • Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date clinical records are maintained, in compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices.

  • Safeguarding: Adhere to safeguarding procedures, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of vulnerable patients.

  • Patient Advocacy: Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey.

  • Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergencies, providing support in critical situations (e.g., CPR, code blue).

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with infection control standards, health and safety regulations, and trust policies.

  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training, development, and educational opportunities to maintain and improve nursing competencies.

Essential Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with valid NMC registration (or equivalent for your country)

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a clinical nursing role (acute, community, or residential care)

  • Knowledge and experience in patient care, medication management, and wound care

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Up-to-date DBS check and proof of immunizations (or willingness to undergo checks)

  • Flexible with shift work and weekend duties as needed

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary
