JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a market leading business in Otley, who are looking to recruit an experienced credit controller on a permanent basis.
Working in a small team of 4, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the credit process for their own ledger, ensuring timely collections and in turn, minimising credit risk. The role is fundamental in ensuring the financial health of the business and its companies, whilst working closely with their customer base.
Duties include:
- Open new accounts, conducting relevant checks on given accounts
- Monitor, manage and keep ahead of overdue payments ensuring timely collection of payments
- Proactively chase any outstanding monies owed by telephone, email and letter
- Utilise credit software, performing checks to determine credit limits
- Effectively deal with an array of queries, working close with credit manager and escalating where necessary
- Maintain compliance with credit policies and company procedures
- Proved various reports for management on Excel
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication skills both dealing with customers and wider team
- Good software experience coupled with Excel
- Proven ability to work autonomously in addition to a small team
- Organised and methodical
