A mediumsize, privately owned & forward thinking Main Contractor is actively seeking a Quantity Surveyor, to work on a hybrid basis and oversee Highways maintenance projects, based on public sector frameworks.
Coming from a Civils background, your role will be to carry pre-construction & post construction duties, ensuring that each job is individually & competitively priced, as well as overseeing each project commercially, to ensure the expected profit is achieved, by way of standard QS duties, overseen by a highly experienced Commercial Director.
The company behind the vacancy is a robust and forward thinking Main Contractor, who operate on a majority basis within the Highway maintenance sector, with a small proportion of work within commercial new build, typically under 2M in value per job.There is genuine career progression - this vacancy has come about due to promotion to Director.
