Electrical Services Lead

Summary

A Electrical Services Lead is needed by a established Mechanical & Electrical services contractor, based in Southampton.  The position is a permanent role where you will be working from the office based in Ower, Southampton, but will also involve site visits around the South of England.

We seek to appoint a candidate with ability and potential to lead our electrical services team. This will include Contract Management overseeing projects and/or project staff, client management and development, and involvement in electrical bid/sales process in support of estimating team.  We will provide a pathway for progression in the business as part of any offer of employment to provide commitment to the right individual.  Must be professional, organised, strong work ethic and ambitious.

The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of projects assigned to them, ensuring that high quality, compliant installations are delivered to the customer in a manner consistent with the company’s contract management system. Further to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with our customers and supply chain. 

Key Activities include:

• Management of design or pre-commencement phase
• Management and delivery of construction phase
• Management and delivery of commissioning and completion stage
• Procurement of the project (sub-contract packages, materials, plant) before we start on site
• Proven capability in successful project management and delivery of commercial projects
• Achieving project milestones and deadlines
• Financial management and working to budgets
• Electrical NICEIC Principle Duty Holder

The ideal Electrical Services Lead will have:

• Electrical contractor background (experience minimum 10 years)
• Experience on design and build, new build and refurbishment commercial projects
• High level of technical knowledge
• Excellent communication skills
• High degree of personal motivation
• Commercial acumen
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience to co-ordinate with mechanical services and manage mechanical designer
