Management Accountant - Cowley, Oxford - Remote, (2 days a month in Cowley) - £60,000 - £70,000 + benefits
FryerMiles are delighted to be supporting a leading PE backed telecommunication provider who are seeking a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role plays a key part in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, supporting strategic initiatives, and offering insight into financial performance. The ideal candidate will be proactive, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. The role offers exposure to a broad range of commercial and operational finance activities within a modern, evolving finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and internal financial reports.
- Analyse variances against budget and forecast, with full balance sheet responsibility.
- Conduct monthly cost centre reviews and support department managers in understanding financial performance.
- Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register.
- Support year-end financial statement preparation and liaise with auditors.
- Supervise and mentor an assistant accountant.
- Provide input into the FP&A function and contribute to M&A activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, standards, and relevant legislation.
What We're Looking For
- Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with at least 1-2 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical accounting skills and financial acumen.
- Advanced Excel skills and a data-driven mindset.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics (desirable).
- Experience within telecoms, infrastructure, or technology sectors is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify financial concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
- Proactive attitude and ability to adapt in a change-oriented environment.
