Management Accountant Responsibilities
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
- Preparing comprehensive management accounts packs to support strategic decision-making and performance analysis.
- Running the month-end project, ensuring all financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with best practices.
- Acting as a bridge between accounts payable processes and the financial controller, facilitating smooth financial operations.
- Supporting the financial controller with ad hoc accounting tasks and financial reporting.
- Analysing financial data to identify trends, optimise processes, and improve reporting accuracy.
- Assisting with budget monitoring and variance analysis to help the business meet its financial objectives.
- Contributing to process improvements to streamline management reporting and financial workflows.

Management Accountant Experience Essentials
- Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and month-end processes
- Strong understanding of financial statements and management accounting practices
- Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Part or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with financial software and Excel skills
Location
Based in South Oxfordshire, the role offers hybrid working with three days in the office. The location is well-connected, with parking available. Due to the rural setting, you must have reliable access to a car for commuting and errands.
