We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to contribute to our client's financial direction and strategic initiatives, whilst ensuring accurate financial information.

Our client is an impressive growing UK business based in central Oxford who are looking to add to their Finance team due to a recent restructure. The Management Accountant will be a key member of the growing team, reporting to the Finance Director, responsible for the day to day accounting as well as contributing to commercial decision making for the wider business.
Description
The Management Accountant will have a wide range of duties within the company, responsible for the day to day accounting whilst supporting the wider business and business units with strategic decision making. The role will involve responsibility for:
- Preparation of month end management accounts
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accurate invoicing and collection of outstanding monies
- Intercompany accounting
- Month end accruals, prepayments, posting journals
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- VAT returns
- Preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting for the business
- Supporting the Finance Director with analysis to provide the wider business with commercial financial insights
- Develop and implement financial strategies and policies.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Establish and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across the business
- Provide insightful information and expectations to the company's executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.
Profile
A successful Management Accountant should have:
- A strong background in a similar all round accounting role, ideally within an SME environment
- A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or be studying/qualified in ACCA/CIMA
- Proficiency in financial software and strong MS Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent strategic planning skills and able to interact at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
