We are seeking an Interim College Accountant to manage and oversee all financial and accounting activities within a respected educational institution. The successful candidate will utilise their proficiency in accounting and finance to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.

Description
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal control safeguards for the receipt of revenue, costs and both team and college budgets.
- Coordinate all audit activity.
- Consistently analyse financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with other departments within the college to support overall college goals and objectives.
- Monitor progress and changes, keeping senior leadership abreast of the college's financial status.
- Assist the college leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process.
- Support the leadership in engaging the board's audit and finance committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery.
Profile
A successful Interim College Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience working as College Accountant, Bursar, Head of Finance or Finance Director.
- Experience working in non-profit or Education/ College environment.
- Living close enough to commute to Oxford
