An exciting opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Design Engineer in a dynamic SME manufacturing business located in Oxfordshire. This role offers the unique opportunity to be involved in the full product life cycle, ensuring both innovative and practical design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and product design from concept through to completion.
- Efficiently prepare and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Implement design for manufacture principles to ensure product manufacturability and quality.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Mechanical & Product Design: Profound skills in mechanical design necessary for developing new products.
- Design for Manufacture: Ability to apply design techniques that simplify the manufacturing process and reduce costs.
- Bills of Materials (BOM's): Experience in creating comprehensive BOMs crucial for production planning and inventory management.
- Hands-On Approach: Direct involvement in all stages of the design and manufacturing process is essential.
