Job Title: Design Engineer

Salary: 42,000-45,000

Planet Recruitment are proud to be working with a leading manufacturer in the their sector, seeking a Design Engineer to join their innovative and collaborative team.
The Role:
As a Design Engineer, you'll support the full product development lifecycle-from concept and prototyping through to production. You'll play a key role in the design of mechanical and electrical assemblies, support manufacturing, and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design complex mechanical/electrical assemblies, including moulded and GRP components
Assist with new product development and testing
Provide technical support to production and sales departments
Create and manage CAD drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Liaise with suppliers on technical matters
Ideal Candidate:
Degree in Engineering (or equivalent) with 5+ years' design experience
Proficient in 3D CAD (NX preferred)
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, fabrication, and assembly processes
Experience with fabricated and moulded components
Knowledge of fluid or electrical systems is a plus
