Junior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Oxford

Salary: 28,000 - 30,000

We are seeking a motivated Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join a growing Engineering and Manufacturing Team. This entry-level role is ideal for graduates or early-career professionals with a passion for Engineering, Manufacturing, and quality systems. You will support the QA function in ensuring that products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as quality contact for allocated customers and deal with internal queries, customer queries and customer complaints.
  • Raise and action 8D corrective action reports, with assistance from other departments, to ensure robust actions are taken to resolve customer complaints
  • Help maintain the company's quality and environmental systems with internal audits and procedure / document updates.
  • Produce Daily Gemba statistics for use in meetings; attend Gemba meetings where necessary and liaise with relevant staff members to discuss quality issues/resolve any CAR's raised.
  • Produce and input data for weekly and monthly management review meetings, including investigation of quality issues from the previous day.
  • Deal with internal non-conformances, ensure suspect stock is quarantined and processed.
  • Completion of Initial Sample Inspection Reports, Capability Studies and R&R studies using CMM, OGP and other company measuring equipment.
  • Participate in 5S and Continuous Improvement exercises.
  • Assist with process optimisation activities that reduce costs and improve profitability as required.
  • Conduct training in Quality procedures as required.
  • Work with the New Product Introduction team during introduction of new parts and processes as required.

About you:

  • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Basic understanding of quality assurance principles, testing methods, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to learn QA software/tools.
  • Enthusiasm for developing a career in quality assurance within the engineering/manufacturing sector.
