Job Title: Construction Manager - Mechanical
Location: Oxfordshire, UK
Salary: 80,000-85,000 + Pension & Healthcare
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join a subcontractor delivering on a semiconductor R&D facility in Oxfordshire. The project involves tool installation and associated mechanical works, reporting into the base build Project Manager already on site.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee mechanical works on site, including direct labour and subcontractors
  • Manage a team of up to 12
  • Supervise site activity
  • Handle purchasing, budgeting, and scheduling of materials
  • Support commercial aspects including progress tracking and subcontractor coordination
  • Maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards
  • Coordinate with the main contractor and internal teams


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Mechanical Construction Manager role
  • Strong background in mechanical systems and pipework installation
  • Experience in purchasing, budgeting, and progress tracking
  • Commercial awareness
  • Able to plan ahead and drive progress on site
  • Experience in semiconductor or high-tech projects is preferred
