Senior Architectural Technologist

A highly respected, award-winning architectural practice is looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist to join its RIBA-chartered team in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a wide range of exciting projects, from early design through to completion, within a collaborative, design-led environment.

Responsibilities for the role of Senior Architectural Technologist:

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects across multiple sectors, ensuring adherence to UK building regulations and best practices
  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications and tender documentation using AutoCAD
  • Collaborate with consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Mentor and support junior staff, providing technical guidance and oversight
  • Conduct site visits and liaise with clients to maintain design quality throughout construction

Requirements:

  • Degree or HND in Architectural Technology (or equivalent qualification)
  • Significant experience in a similar role within a UK architectural practice
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, with strong technical drawing skills
  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, materials and construction methods
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent leadership, communication and team collaboration skills
