You will be responsible for a small team of three lab staff and provide seed testing services, ensuring that all seeds processed comply with seed certification regulations.Responsibilities • Conduct seed testing activities- purity, germination, moisture content. • Comple with all legal responsibilities in line with seed certification regulations.• Maintaining a clean and safe work environment and oversee calibration, maintenance, and validation of laboratory equipment.• Train all staff accordingly and ensure that they have the correct PPE.• Undertake the responsibilities for a licensed seed sampler.• Work in close collaboration with the Production Manager. Skills Required• Essential to have Seed Analyst in charge qualification- Acceptable to DEFRA• Qualified in categories of seed.• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.• Open to candidates with a seed analyst in charge qualification that haven't worked as a manager and are wanting the next step up • Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.Important Information: We endeavour to process your personal data in a fair and transparent manner.
