Class 1 HGV Driver
24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for Class 1 HGV Driver on behalf of our client in Cowley area (OX4)
Available shifts are:
Monday to Friday 15:00 - 18:00 starts
Monday to Friday 04:00-05:00 starts
Working as a Class 1 HGV Driver, duties will include, but not limited to:
- Trunking, Store Deliveries, Trailer Swaps, Shunting - Work will be a mixture so will need to be flexible.
- Driver must be flexible on start times - mostly will be day work, but might be required to cover afternoons or nights (weekly booking)
- No Handball
- Monday to Friday work, with occasional Saturdays
- No nights out
- Can be between 8-12 hour shift, this is dependant on the job needed on that day
- Flexibility is key for this role
- Customer facing jobs
- Must have C+E, however may be required to drive B, C or C1 depending on requirements on the day. Driver will always be paid at Class 1 rate minimum
- Previous HGV Experience
- PPE (Combat Trousers, T-Shirt/Polo Shirt, Protective Footwear, High Viz) NO RIGGER BOOTS, JEANS OR HOODIES.
- A driving assessment must be passed prior to working, the assessment day is paid providing candidate passes.
- The assessment will compromise: Driving assessment, Manual handling training, Safe systems of work & SOP's, Highway code test
MUST HAVE
- Hold valid a Class 1 / C+E License
- No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's)
- MINIMUM 12 MONTHS HGV EXPERIENCE
Class 1 HGV Driver PAYE rates:
- Days Trunking £17.70 per hour
- Nights Trunking £18.81 per hour
- Days Trunking Weekend £26.56 per hour
- Nights Trunking Weekend £27.67per hour
- Days Multi Drop £19.70 per hour
- Nights Multi Drop £21.75 per hour
- Days Multi Drop Weekend £28.56 per hour
- Nights Multi Drop Weekend £30.61 per hour
This position is commutable from: Oxford, Bicester, Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Witney, Carterton, Wantage
