Site Operative - Industrial Cleaning & Decontamination

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Site Technicians, Site Operatives and Environmental Technicians interested in working as an Industrial Services Technician based from Oxfordshire.
Working Monday-Friday across a portfolio of customer sites you will carry out a range of services for customers including deep cleaning operations, site decontaminations, emergency environmental response and more, working in some of the most critical, challenging, and rewarding environments across the UK.
Role Profile
- Carry out a range of specialist cleaning tasks, including deep cleaning, tank cleaning, site decontamination, decommissioning, and emergency response often involving confined space entry, high-pressure water jetting, working at height, and handling hazardous, chemical, or biological materials.
- Operate tools and equipment safely in line with risk assessments and standard operating procedures.
- Support the development and implementation of health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Maintain high site standards, including housekeeping, equipment care, and proper storage of tools and consumables.
- Comply with the conditions of site permit-to-work systems.
- Report any equipment faults or PPE/RPE issues promptly.
- Participate in training, pre-job risk assessments, and the emergency response rota as required.
- Complete job-related documentation accurately and on time, working closely with Technical Operations.
- Assist with vehicle cleaning and restocking after use and perform waste packaging and collection duties.
- Ensure full compliance with all Company policies and procedures, including ensuring the correct use of PPE / RPE, health and safety and employment.
- Undertake alternative duties at the Hazardous Waste Transfer Station and any other ad hoc tasks or projects as assigned by management or the Board, within the scope of your skills and capabilities.
Desired Applicant Profile
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, hazardous waste handling, or similar field is highly desirable.
- Strong awareness of health & safety practices and willingness to work in high risk environments.
- Physically fit, reliable, and able to work as part of a team or independently.
- Willingness to participate in training and emergency rota duties.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including emergency response and occasional working away from home
- Attention to detail, particularly with documentation and compliance procedures.
- Willingness to work towards certifications such as IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, or NEBOSH/IOSH qualifications.
