- Identifying and diagnosing defects in carriageways and determining their causes
- Providing practical solutions for maintaining and repairing highway assets
- Collaborating with local authorities to prioritise maintenance activities
- Engaging in walk, talk, build tasks to facilitate effective communication and project planning
- Implementing surfacing solutions, serving as a foreman type individual to guide and direct work on-site
- Advising and guiding less experienced team members to ensure quality outcomes
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway maintenance and surfacing
- Understanding of local authority processes and priorities
- Proficient in conducting surveys and site measurements
- Ability to diagnose and address carriageway defects
- Good communication skills for effective walk, talk, build work
- Proven track record in managing highway maintenance projects
- Ability to work efficiently on-site with minimal office-based tasks
