Senior Project Engineer (Mechanical) – Contract – Oxford - Outside IR35 – £neg

Fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to work onsite on a large scale healthcare project based in Oxford for initially 2 months.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and coordinating M&E subcontractors to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Be responsible for the mechanical services installation on projects from design through to
  • Driving health, safety, and environmental standards across the site.
  • Collaborating closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting short- and medium-term planning using digital tools and production control techniques.
  • Ensuring quality assurance by managing inspection plans and resolving NCRs.
  • Proactively identifying design issues and supporting technical delivery.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience in M&E construction delivery, ideally on complex building projects.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage small teams or packages independently.
  • Confident communicator with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Familiar with health and safety regulations and RAMs processes.
  • Skilled in short-term planning, logistics coordination, and quality management.
