Bennett & Game are recruiting for a Rail Projects Manager on behalf of a specialist provider of infrastructure survey and data solutions. The role involves overseeing the planning, coordination, and delivery of railway inspection survey projects on an international scale. This is a dynamic, hands-on position that spans field operations, data interpretation, and client engagement, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outputs for infrastructure maintenance and improvement.

This role would suit a confident and driven individual with proven experience in project delivery and team leadership, ideally within the rail or infrastructure inspection sector. The successful candidate will also have a strong understanding of technical project scopes, risk management, and client communication.



Project Manager Job Overview

  • Responsible for the end-to-end delivery of railway inspection projects, including scope, schedule, and budget management.
  • Collaborate with data capture, processing, and delivery teams to ensure quality outputs.
  • Maintain project timelines using effective scheduling and planning tools.
  • Identify commercial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Track budgets and report to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all project activity is compliant with health & safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to communicate progress and outcomes.
  • Act as the central point of coordination between technical teams across data lifecycle stages.
  • Support business growth by delivering successful, repeatable projects on a global scale


Project Manager Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in project planning and delivery, preferably in a technical or infrastructure environment.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Commercially aware with strong risk identification and budget management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Technically literate - able to interpret technical specifications and support cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira.
  • Experience in account or client relationship management is highly advantageous.
  • Full UK manual driving licence and right to work in the UK required.
