They are looking for a Business Development Manager to help us develop and manage community energy projects, specifically rooftop solar initiatives. You'll work alongside our Operations Renewables Portfolio Director to lead the way in delivering renewable energy projects that make a positive impact on both people and the planet.As part of the team, you'll help build relationships with key stakeholders, including commercial businesses, to develop and deliver projects aimed at reducing energy costs and carbon footprints through solar energy. This is your chance to join a forward-thinking, entrepreneurial organization where you can make a real difference and grow your career in the renewable energy sector.The Business Development Manager will play a central role in developing and managing a pipeline of investable community energy projects, working closely with the Operations Director and technical experts to ensure sustainable growth, project delivery, and the mission of delivering renewable energy solutions.The ideal candidate will live in a commutable distance to Oxford and have experience in a Business development or sales role to commercial customers. If you're passionate about renewable energy and business development and want to be part of a company making a tangible impact, we'd love to hear from youThe Role:*Full training provided. *Lead and manage the delivery of solar PV projects, focusing on rooftop solar systems for community and business partners.*Develop a strong pipeline of community energy projects, ensuring annual sales targets of £1.5 million are met.*Negotiate contracts and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) for each project, collaborating with partners and stakeholders to drive success.*Work closely with the Operations team to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.*Ensure projects have an average internal rate of return (IRR) of >7.5%.*Play a pivotal role in the growth of the company and its renewable energy mission.The Person:*Proven experience in business development *Commercial sales/ BD background *Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to network and develop collaborative relationships.
