Our client, a respected consultancy in the highways sector, is currently seeking experienced Senior Utility Surveyors to join their team. The positions are available in the Oxford area, Chelmsford, and North London, offering a dynamic role in various high-profile projects, including highways, EV charging and resurfacing works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting utility surveys using GPR and radio detection equipment (CAT and Genny)
- Utilising GPS kit for precise surveying work
- Uploading data from home, minimising the need for office visits
- Collaborating closely with internal CAD teams and participating in daily communications via Slack
- Working primarily on highways-related projects with occasional rail sector engagements
- Managing and executing projects related to drainage works and private sector contracts
- Maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency in survey operations
- Reporting directly to the team leader, Simon
Job Requirements:
- Experience in utility surveying, including the use of GPR and radio detection equipment
- Proficiency in using GPS kits for accurate data collection
- Ability to manage projects efficiently and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills for daily interactions and reporting
- Flexibility to work both day shifts and occasional night shifts
- Experience with topographical surveying (excluding land surveying)
- Capability to work independently and upload data remotely
- Significant experience in utility surveying, preferably in the highways sector
