- Program, set, and operate 3, 4, and 5 Axis CNC milling machines
- Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings
- Produce layout sheets documenting tooling, setups, and machine parameters for consistency
- Machine high-precision parts to very tight tolerances (typically around 20µm)
- Perform self-inspection using measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers, gauges)
- Assist and train less experienced operators to maintain quality and standards
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience programming and operating CNC milling machines
- Skilled in Heidenhain controls (Fanuc experience desirable)
- Familiar with operating machines such as Doosan, Matsuura, and Mazak
- Able to machine large parts up to 2.5m when required
- Apprenticeship-trained (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to right-first-time manufacturing
