We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and support of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation systems across a range of high-integrity industrial projects.

Working across the full project lifecycle — from concept design to commissioning — you will ensure that all systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

The role:

  • Design and specify EC&I systems for industrial and process environments and machinery.
  • Prepare documentation including wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, loop diagrams, and cable schedules.
  • Select and integrate instrumentation for measurement, control, and safety.
  • Conduct site surveys, FAT/SAT testing, and provide commissioning support.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards (e.g. BS7671, IEC, ATEX).
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, HAZOPs, and design reviews.

Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Instrumentation or related field.
  • Proven experience in EC&I design and implementation in industrial sectors such as energy, utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, or process industries.
  • Proficient in Electrical Design (Solidworks, EPLan, Autocad)
  • Knowledge of electrical and instrumentation standards and safety systems.
  • Strong understanding of system integration, field instrumentation, and control philosophy.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and support commissioning when required.
