Join one of the largest housing associations in the region, as an Electrician within their Maintenance and Testing Team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on the road and is committed to ensuring the safety and efficiency of electrical services in residential settings.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in residents' homes as part of our Electrical Team.
  • Undertake responsive repairs and works within our planned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations, and Sovereign's established standard procedures.
  • Maintain a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
  • Estimate, requisition, and recommend the acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure satisfactory repairs and maintenance are carried out in accordance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
  • Apply your knowledge and skills to record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Relevant and up-to-date qualifications, including a minimum of NVQ level 3 (or equivalent experience), 18th Edition (BS7671), and City & Guild 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally within a Residential/Housing sector.
  • Strong health and safety knowledge and adherence to best practices.
  • Full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's driving experience.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external customers.
