This is an opportunity for a professional thermal CFDengineer to join a business that is passionate about bringing tailor-made, compact electric powertrains, drives, machines and inverters for traction applications to the automotive sector.

You will work closely with a global team of experts in the field of electric powertrains who design, develop, test and manufacture everything onsite so you can see your engineering from start to finish.

As part of steady expansion they are looking for a CFD Engineer/Thermal Analysis engineer/Cooling systems engineer.

This role requires the following-

  • Extensive experience with cooling systems simulation and design using CFD analysis (OpenFoam / Ansys preferred, but open to others)
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred, but open for others)

Desirable but not essential experience would be-

  • FEA (structural analysis) and Multiphysics simulations
  • Experience with castings, plastics parts, weldings.
  • Confidence with 2D drawings, GD&T and design to manufacture
  • Worked with Mechanical design of electrical machines and inverters or similar equipment
  • Experience with bearings and seals
