Senior Air Quality Consultant - Oxford

Location: Oxford
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 + Benefits (DOE)

Are you an experienced air quality professional looking to take the next step in your career? A highly regarded consultancy is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to join its established team in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-profile transport, infrastructure, and urban development projects, while mentoring colleagues and strengthening client relationships.



The Role

Based in Oxford, you will lead the delivery of technical air quality projects, from detailed impact assessments and dispersion modelling through to compliance reporting. Acting as a trusted advisor, you'll work closely with developers, planners, and local authorities to provide practical, cost-effective, and robust solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the technical delivery of air quality assessments and dispersion modelling.

  • Produce, review, and sign off reports and Environmental Statement (ES) chapters.

  • Manage client relationships and support business development.

  • Provide mentoring, training, and guidance to junior consultants.

  • Attend site visits, client meetings, and public inquiries as required.



About You

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in air quality consultancy or regulatory work.

  • Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance.

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or a related subject.

  • Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards accreditation (desirable).

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and project management skills.

  • Full UK driving licence.
