We are seeking an Events Coordinator for a renowned publishing organisation in Oxford. The Events Coordinator is sought to ensure that sponsors and delegates receive exceptional service throughout their journey with their events. This role is central to the events operation, blending customer relationship management with hands-on event delivery and sales support. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing sponsor satisfaction, contributing to the success of events, and driving revenue growth across the portfolio of conferences.

Day-to-day of the role of an Events Coordinator:

  • Customer Success: Onboarding and building strong relationships with event sponsors, ensuring they have an excellent experience at every contact point. Developing a comprehensive understanding of account health for each partner to track engagement and maximise return on investment.
  • Sponsorship Tracking & Delivery: Overseeing sponsorship delivery from contract to event completion. Maintaining tracking systems for all deliverables, coordinating with internal teams on brand compliance, and ensuring seamless on-site execution with venues and suppliers.
  • Pipeline Management: Supporting sales by maintaining accurate pipeline data, identifying upsell opportunities, and assisting with subscription renewal processes. Ensuring all opportunities are properly recorded and followed up.
  • Client Communications: Managing delegate inquiries and client touchpoints to drive ticket sales and cross-sell services. Serving as a key contact point, ensuring consistent, professional communication with both sponsors and delegates.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A customer-focused mindset with a natural ability to build rapport with clients from diverse industries and backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills and an eye for detail, capable of managing complex delivery schedules and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to identify opportunities to grow accounts through upselling and cross-selling.
  • Proficiency in using various event technology platforms, CRM systems, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player who can manage competing priorities while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Experience in events, customer success, or operations is beneficial but not essential.
