Ivy Rock Partners is proud to be working with an outstanding not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated finance team and play a key role in supporting housing-related services across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth operation of the purchase ledger, expenses, direct debits, standing orders, and credit/debit card processes.
- Oversee timely and accurate bank reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns.
- Line manage two team members - a Purchase Ledger Supervisor and an Assistant Accountant.
- Lead on the preparation and coordination of annual budgets for property-related services.
- Support managers with budget monitoring, financial forecasting, and performance analysis.
- Provide expert financial advice to support value for money and strategic decision-making.
- Contribute to broader financial strategy and planning across the organisation.
About You:
We are looking for a motivated finance professional with:
- Strong experience in financial reporting and budget management.
- Previous exposure to the housing sector is essential
- Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including use of complex formulas and macros.
- Strong Financial Accounting skillset
Desirable Qualifications:
- Accountancy qualification and/or degree-level education (desirable but not essential).
