Ivy Rock Partners is proud to be working with an outstanding not-for-profit organisation to recruit an Assistant Finance Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated finance team and play a key role in supporting housing-related services across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure smooth operation of the purchase ledger, expenses, direct debits, standing orders, and credit/debit card processes.
  • Oversee timely and accurate bank reconciliations and quarterly VAT returns.
  • Line manage two team members - a Purchase Ledger Supervisor and an Assistant Accountant.
  • Lead on the preparation and coordination of annual budgets for property-related services.
  • Support managers with budget monitoring, financial forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Provide expert financial advice to support value for money and strategic decision-making.
  • Contribute to broader financial strategy and planning across the organisation.

About You:

We are looking for a motivated finance professional with:

  • Strong experience in financial reporting and budget management.
  • Previous exposure to the housing sector is essential
  • Excellent communication and data analysis skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including use of complex formulas and macros.
  • Strong Financial Accounting skillset

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Accountancy qualification and/or degree-level education (desirable but not essential).
