This Oxford-based organisation is undergoing rapid growth and are looking for a Director of FP&A to support this and manage a team of commercial individuals.

About the Job

A new opportunity has arisen for a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to take a strategic lead in aligning financial processes with organisational goals. Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key role shaping the financial future of the organisation. You’ll lead a high-performing team of finance business partners and work across all departments to embed financial insight and drive impactful decision-making.

Duties will include:

  • Leading the annual budget process and overseeing strategic financial planning

  • Producing detailed financial forecasts and managing regular reforecast cycles

  • Creating management reports, KPIs, and variance analysis for senior stakeholders

  • Enhancing business partnering activities across departments to add measurable value

  • Strengthening financial governance and ensuring robust controls are in place

  • Leading audit readiness and tracking control improvements

  • Managing a team of business partners, supporting their growth and development

  • Collaborating closely with the Financial Controller to improve financial accuracy and timeliness

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with a strong background in performance management, commercial finance, and large-scale financial operations. Experience in life sciences or healthcare is advantageous. You’ll be a strategic thinker with the ability to influence at senior levels, lead teams effectively, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced, mission-led environment.
