Description

  • Oversee the financial operations and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the organisation's objectives.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and monitoring expenditure.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to provide financial insights and guidance.
  • Lead and mentor the team, with 4 direct reports, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee the charity's audit and risk management processes.
  • Collaborate with fundraising teams to align financial planning with income generation activities.

Profile

A successful Interim Finance Director should have:

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Proven experience in financial leadership within the Not For Profit or charity sector.
  • Strong knowledge of charity accounting standards and reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Experience managing financial operations and leading teams effectively.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving financial challenges.
