We are seeking a skilled and reliableForklift Driver / Machine Driverto join our clients team. In this role, you will work closely with supervisors and tradespeople to ensure the smooth operation of construction sites. Your responsibilities will include operating heavy machinery, loading/unloading materials, and maintaining a safe and tidy work environment. Our client is a growing complex design and build company, predominantly providing into the water/wastewater sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, excavators, dumper trucks, and other heavy machinery.
- Load and unload materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare and maintain construction sites, including digging, compacting, and backfilling.
- Assist tradespeople and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Complete pre-use checks and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the site safe and organised.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid CSCS or equivalent certification.
- NPORS/CPCS certification for operating machinery.
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths.
- Experience in an on-site engineering or construction environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a conscientious and hardworking attitude.
- EUSR Water and Sewage certification.
- PASMA, IPAF, or confined space training.
- Previous experience in the water industry.
