Our client is a leading manufacturer, part of a larger group, with a reputation for product quality, which is second to none and industry leading standards. They are looking for an experienced multi-skilled shift engineer to join their engineering team.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of all the site production, process & packaging machinery and systems
- Electrical & mechanical fault finding, troubleshooting & repairs
- PLC - electrical fault finding
- Installation, commissioning & modifications of new equipment
- Working on motors, gearboxes, drives, inverters, sensors, pneumatics, circuits, VSD's
- Shift handovers, ordering spares & parts, liaise with suppliers
- Record all maintenance activities, manage contractors
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Ideally be a multi-skilled engineer
- Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship
- NVQ Level 3 or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering
- Ideally HNC / HNC qualified
- Must have worked in some form of fast-paced manufacturing industry
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & diagnostics skills
- PLC - electrical fault finding capabilities
- Team player, good communication skills
- Any experience of installation, commissioning & project work would be beneficial
