A small, independent, employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking an early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality Consultant to join its growing team. The organisation specialises in dust and air quality monitoring, consultancy, equipment design, and laboratory analysis.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
Conduct occupational exposure monitoring (dust, fibres, VOCs, gases, etc.) across varied site environments
Produce high-quality interpretative technical reports
Support noise exposure assessments and LEV testing (training provided if needed)
Assist with handling enquiries, quotations and development of new work opportunities
The position is primarily office-based with regular UK-wide site visits and the option for some hybrid working once sufficiently experienced.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in occupational/industrial hygiene (including monitoring of airborne substances and noise)
Strong written and spoken English, including technical report writing
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to process and analyse large datasets
Understanding of COSHH, EH40 and relevant MDHS guidance
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
Desirable
Membership of BOHS
Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Hygiene or related field
Knowledge of indoor air quality guidelines (e.g., BREEAM)
Experience with LEV testing or sales/enquiry handling
Strong customer service and communication skills
Confidence with both client-facing work and lone working on site
Willingness to travel and stay away when required
