We are currently recruiting for a proactive HR Officer to join our client's dynamic Human Resources team. This role is crucial for providing administrative support across various HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, training, and HR management activities. The successful candidate will be adept at handling multiple projects and will possess a solid understanding of HR practices.
Day-to-day of the role:Recruitment
- Manage all aspects of recruitment administration in line with company policies.
- Organise interviews and assessments, conduct Right to Work checks, and monitor equal opportunities.
- Handle post-interview processes including reference checks and DBS checks.
- Conduct welcoming and induction sessions for new employees.
Training
- Log and address training requests; coordinate with internal and external trainers to fulfill these needs.
- Maintain and update training records and gather feedback on training sessions.
HR Information Systems and Management Reports
- Accurately input records into the HR Information System and train new staff on its use.
- Maintain organised staff files and generate regular HR reports to track various metrics.
Absence Management
- Assist in managing sickness and maternity leave processes, including administrative support and meeting minutes.
Employee Relations
- Coordinate disciplinary and grievance procedures, support investigations, and maintain case tracking systems.
General HR Responsibilities
- Handle queries from staff and external organisations regarding HR matters.
- Ensure compliance with data protection laws and other relevant legal requirements.
- Previous experience within a HR Administration or HR Assistant position, with the desire to progress in their HR career
- Strong administrative and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with diverse groups.
- Knowledge of data protection and legal compliance in HR.
- Desirable: CIPD qualification or the intention to achieve it.
