Assembly & Build Technician
Autonomous Robotics | Oxford | Competitive + Benefits
We're recruiting for a fast-growing autonomous robotics company that's revolutionizing warehouse intelligence. They design and build their robots in-house, and they need skilled Assembly & Build Technicians to join their electro-mechanical production team.
The Company
This isn't your typical manufacturing environment. The CEO is ex-F1 and brings that high-performance, results-driven mentality to everything they do. They're backed by top-tier VCs, scaling rapidly across Europe and North America, and working with some of the biggest names in logistics and manufacturing.
Their robots autonomously scan warehouses, creating live digital twins with real-time AI-driven insights. It's cutting-edge tech, and you'll be building it from the ground up.
The Role
This is hands-on, workshop-based work where you'll assemble, and commission robot subsystems and complete robot builds to the highest standards. You'll own your output - quality, speed, and precision are non-negotiable.
Your day-to-day:
- Assembling complex electro-mechanical subsystems and complete robots
- Working from technical drawings, work instructions, and assembly procedures
- Inspecting, testing, and signing off completed assemblies
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving on the workshop floor
- Contributing to continuous improvement and R&D projects
- Supporting the wider team to hit ambitious deadlines
This isn't production line work - it's proper technical assembly where attention to detail matters and every robot you build gets shipped globally.
What They're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in manual build and assembly of complex, high-precision mechanical and electrical systems
- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Accountable mindset - you own the quality and delivery of your work
- Experience inspecting and testing assemblies to specification
- Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to rapid changes
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Working knowledge of Health & Safety procedures
Desirable:
- Background in precision manufacturing (motorsport, aerospace, automotive, industrial equipment)
- Experience with robotics or automation systems
What's In It For You?
- Private healthcare via Bupa
- Life insurance and income protection
- Pension: 5% employer contribution
- 25 days holiday
- Full meals on-site
- Team events and a genuinely energetic company culture
- The chance to be part of something genuinely exciting and fast-moving
The Reality Check
This is a high-performance environment. Expectations are high, priorities shift fast, and you need to thrive under pressure. If you're looking for somewhere to coast, this isn't it. But if you take pride in quality work, want to build cutting-edge technology, and want to be part of a company with serious momentum - let's talk.
