We're looking for a highly skilled Technical Maintenance & Automation Engineer to join a busy production site. You'll be responsible for keeping complex plant and automation systems running at peak performance, troubleshooting faults, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electromechanical systems, PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi), drives, motors, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
- Lead fault-finding and repairs to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
- Plan, execute, and improve preventative maintenance schedules.
- Support small automation and process improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate records in CMMS and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with operations, contractors, and engineering colleagues to deliver technical solutions.
What we're looking for:
- Apprentice-trained or time-served in electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Strong PLC programming and fault-finding skills across Siemens, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi systems.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in industrial or FMCG manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on, solution-focused, reliable, and able to work independently or in a team.
- Proficient in MS Office and CMMS systems.
