********** Assembly Operative ****

We have a great opportunity to work for a Global leader within the aerospace/defence sector.

We are looking for assemblers to join the team of this well-established family run British manufacturing company who work to save lives.

Hours will be 08.00-16.45 Monday to Thursday and 08.00-12.00 Fridays.

The role is based in the beautiful south Oxfordshire countryside

Salary £27K + amazing benefits + optional overtime at a generous rate.

This is an interesting role for people who are naturally curious and enjoy solving problems.

It is absolutely imperative that you are prepared to work with explosives.

You will naturally be dextrous, have the ability to concentrate and finish tasks and have good attention to detail.

This role offers great progression, and you will be working with experts who will be delighted to impart their knowledge to help you grow and develop your career in engineering.

Main responsibilities

Accurately interpret assembly drawings and relevant information so that Part Numbers, Drawing Issues, Working Practices and Batch Identification can be accurately identified and applied.

Handle explosive materials, goods and components carefully and comply with safety regulations and handling instructions so that :

• components are not damaged through mishandling.

• accidents do not occur through negligence or mishandling.

• report any dangerous practices and other dangers such as faulty equipment to local supervision so that all operations are safe at all times

Monitor the fitness for purpose of tools and equipment and provide for their replacement and/or recalibration so that tools and equipment are fit for purpose and in good condition.

Update SAP in order that work in progress is accurately recorded at all times

Undertake any other duties as required together with general housekeeping and cleaning duties such that the Pyrotechnic and

associated areas are maintained in an efficient, clean and safe condition providing for a safe and efficient working environment
