The Role:

  • Design and specify control systems, safety systems, and electrical components for advanced industrial automation solutions.
  • Develop electrical schematics and designs using AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Produce layout diagrams, terminal, and wiring plans, ensuring compliance with EU Standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with design and applications engineers to deliver comprehensive system drawings and specifications.
  • Program PLCs and control systems for seamless industrial automation.
  • Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics to ensure system reliability.
  • Support on-site engineers during the integration and commissioning of new systems, both in the UK and overseas.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in electrical design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical or similar CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical control gear and industrial automation.
  • Practical knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., Profinet, Profibus, EtherNet/IP, TCP/IP, OPC, IO-Link).
