Job Description:
We are seeking a Site Manager with a strong civil bias and mechanical aptitude to join our team on a sewage treatment works upgrade project near Oxford. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who has experience in the water or utilities sector and is confident working in a live site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing and supporting civil works on-site, including excavation, pipework installation, and concrete structures
Assisting with mechanical aspects such as equipment installation, supports, and alignments
Working closely with the site manager and subcontractors to ensure project delivery on time and within quality standards
Ensuring site health and safety regulations are followed at all times
Requirements:
Proven civil engineering experience (preferably in water treatment or utilities)
Mechanical skills or experience working alongside mechanical teams
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification - essential
CSCS card - essential
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans
Desirable:
Experience on AMP (Asset Management Programme) or similar sewage treatment projects
Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC, NVQ, or degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering)
