Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 per annum
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Oxfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer to contribute to the design and development of innovative mechanical products and systems within a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed 3D and 2D CAD models and engineering drawings for manufacture.
- Support new product development and continuous improvement projects.
- Work closely with the manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs are optimised for fabrication and assembly.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation.
- Assist in prototype testing, validation, and product improvement activities.
- Ensure all designs meet performance, quality, and safety standards.
- HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar).
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, sheet metal, and fabrication.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
