PA to Head of Department
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced PA to support the Head of Department, providing senior administrative support for the organisation's operational services including facilities, catering, maintenance, conference, housekeeping, and HR. This is a busy and varied role working in a very friendly and diverse team of three.
PA to Head of Department Responsibilities
This position will involve, but will not be limited to:
- Responsible for diary management and meeting schedules, including booking rooms, travel and refreshments; ensuring that necessary papers have been received, and any background research/briefings arranged.
- Ensure that the Head is routinely and regularly updated with regard to the status of all ongoing work activities and projects that the post holder has been tasked with.Â
- Liaise with a wide range of internal and external colleagues and stakeholders.
- Manage incoming correspondence, such as post, emails and telephone calls, making judgements about which need to be dealt with.
- Prepare agendas, assisting in the production of minutes and reports, presentations, drafting letters and other documents as required and ensuring follow-up action is carried out.
- Maintaining a paper-based and electronic filing system and general organisation of documentation for the department.
PA to Head of Department Benefits

Due to the nature of this role, you will be based onsite in central Oxford. Free onsite parking is available and excellent transport links nearby.
