Temporary Laboratory Assistant required for a Global scientific client based at the Oxford Science Park. Excellent facilities and environment to work in. This is a 12 month maternity cover position. Hours of work are 0900-1730 Monday to Friday, with free parking.

Temporary Laboratory Assistant responsibilities include:

  • General housekeeping of the laboratories, glassware washing
  • Checking equipment and stock levels and ordering supplies as required
  • Sterilising, calibrating, and setting up lab equipment.
  • Labelling, sorting, and storing lab samples.
  • Disposing of waste and storing lab equipment after use

Experience required:

  • Previous experience working in a laboratory preferred but not essential.
  • Well organised hardworking individual who can work efficiently within a multifunction team with good attention to detail.
  • Good communication and team player, willing to help others succeed.
  • Must be diligent and organised.
  • Able to work independently.
